Do pictures and video taken on a cell phone automatically save to the SD card?
I’m trying to recover some deleted files. Pandora recovery won’t recover them straight from the cell phone, so I am considering buying a mini SD card reader… But I don’t know if the pictures were saved to the card if it requires a specific action to do so. Am I wasting my money by buying the card reader? Or is there a good chance that they were automatically saved to the mini SD card?

If the phone is connected to the computer using a USB cable (or if you’ve plugged the memory card into a card reader on the PC), then decent commercial recovery software (http://www.asoftech.com/apr/) will be able to analyse and recover files just the same as if it was a HDD.
No….find the picture….its on the phone memory. Go to options and find COPY or MOVE TO MEMORY CARD. Im not sure if you can set your mem card as default on all pictures though.
