How To Root Your Sprint Evo 4G (Part 2 of 3)
This video is where we actually get our hands dirty. I show you how to set up your comp so you can get the Simple Root method working properly. Follow EVERY step to a TEE and if something goes wrong with one of the steps, format your sd card and start over from Step-1. Happy rooting! For download links please visit my post on AndroidandMe.com: bit.ly _________________________________ Simple Root: First you need to install Microsoft .NET Framework on your PC download.microsoft.com Install HTC Sync on your PC www.htc.com Download the OTA Simple Root.zip and unzip it. bit.ly (See links on the site) * Open the OTA Simple Root filder, then open the OTA Simple Root program and click the buttons starting from Step 1-4 and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. * After you’re done with step 4, open the menu and click “Extras” then “Flash Recovery”. Then select the Recovery of your choice. * Remove all of the files no longer needed on your sd card after you’ve completed all the steps by clicking “Extras” then “Clean Root-Files” Follow me! Since your doing a factory reset will you lose all your numbers or no?

@wildmercy1 yeah, no doubt. linux is awesome. i’ve been meaning to try out ubuntu and just mess around with it, but i’ve never gotten the chance.
when i try openening the ota simple root it says this blah blah blah doesnt have a verified signature or something like that are you sure you wanna run? and ill click yes and then it will put the little loading circle arounf my cursor but nothing will ever open? what do i need to do?
If anything goes wrong in ANY of the steps, delete EVERYTHING off your sd card and start over from Step 1.
This usually fixes ALL issues. =)
when i get to step 4 it says waiting on phone starting part 2 and doesnt do nothin after that…….do u know what the problem could be

Hey EmoGamer! Awesome Vid, followed it step by step. One issue, i seem to just get stuck at last step. I go to Step 4 on rooting process and it just says ‘Starting Part 2…..’ Any ideas or suggestions? Please help and thanks.
