SD card needs formatting, but i don't want to lose my images?
Im at university and spent the whole day yesterday doing a photoshoot.. while i was browsing throught images on my mac the SD (which was in a card reader) ejected itself, and now wont read at all on my mac! When i put it back in the camera it says that it needs formatting, but i really don’t want to lose a whole days work off of it :S
I was told to download a data recovery program, which i did, but as the card needs formatting it isnt coming up on my mac to recover anything.. Please help.. ?

I know that some data recovery software can recovery the formatted images from SD card like this one.

But do not write your SD card after formating in case it will replace the data on your card.
your mac curuppted the card!
just install the card into a windows pc, copy "as raw", format, install back into the mac, and move the files via a flash drive.
next time you’ll know better.
you can also install windows on your mac with "boot camp" and it will repair you card!
I just experienced this. It caused by the interface. Maybe your interface of camera connected not well now. You can tried again and again or read the SD on computer and backup your photos.
Don’t worry, even though you format your SD card, many data recovery softwares also can help you get your photos back.
