I am wanting a computer kind of cheap budget wise but will either one of these be really good with games

I’d go with gateway. How about a dell?
I would say the gate way because it has double the ram and processing speed.
Dells are garbage.
Gateway def. even tho i am not a fan of buying pre made machines the gateway out does the hp in almost everyway.
again even tho i hate amd and ati, it does not make sence to buy a nvidia graphic card with and amd cpu as ati and amd are the same company. out of the 2 you should get the gateway but if you want something better get an Intel core 2 quad with GTX260 gphc card
It looks as though that Gateway would be better suited for your needs.
